H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa visits Taiwan
H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa
was invited by Lopon
Tenzin Rinpoche to visit his Karma Kagyu Centers in Taiwan. So
H.H. came to Taiwan for the second time after his visit in 1999.

December 22: H.H.
arrived in Taoyuan at CKS International Airport, where he was welcomed among
others by Lopon Rinpoche, Mrs. Sandy Yen, Sang Sang Rinpoche and a large number
of devotees. In the evening there was a Welcome Dinner at the Grand Hotel in
Taipei.

23:
In the afternoon H.H. the 17th
Gyalwa Karmapa Thaye Dorje ,accompanied by III Lopon Tenzin Rinpoche, along with
his entourages, arrived at Taipei Tsurphu center where he received the symbolic
offerings of the Mandala universe as well as the body, speech, mind, quality and
activity dedicated by Dharma committee members. His Holiness also performed a
ritual to consecrate all sacred images of the center. In the evening His
Holiness gave refuge vows to more than 200 people and granted Amitabha
empowerment to nearly 1000 participants at
Taipei Chientan Youth Center.

H.H.
Gyalwa Karmapa gave the empowerment of Khowa Dondu,
the two-armed red Chenrezig, to hundreds of Kagyu disciples at Taipei Tsurphu
center. At the end of session, His Holiness advised disciples to make the best
use of their precious time for Dharma practice and stressed the importance of
developing trust and confidence toward Dharma teachers and friends.
